In The Shadows of Giants

Growing up in the shadow of the motion picture industry allowed me to be the fly on the wall. These stories have filled our house with memories and laughter and have only gotten better over the years like a fine bottle of aged wine. Well, the time has come to pop the cork.

In The Shadows of Giants captures all the color of growing in a Hollywood home and then some. Like the time I risked my life to sketch a deadly Mob figure while undercover at a posh Beverly Hills restaurant, or when my dad, Ted White (AKA Jason Voorhees, Part IV), my not-so-tame stuntman of a father, nearly came to blows with Hollywood icon, John Wayne, for whom he stunt doubled in seven motion pictures. Or my mom aflame from a kitchen fire and my dad saving her as if it was all in a day’s work. And who could forget stunt horses parading through our house to settle a drunken bet?

So tie up your horse, find a seat at the campfire, and take it easy on the beans.
